Day 6 - Kenting

For the first time, we were all able to sleep in. Since Day 1, we had been moving to a new city every day, so we all wanted to take advantage of this by getting an extra hour or two of sleep. Afterwards, we went to the rent bikes for 200NT! Since the rental was for 24 hours, that comes out to 25 cents per hour. There was only one girl who didn't know how to ride a bike, so her and another girl rented a motorized bicycle. Not to be confused with a moped or motorcycle. We road our bikes east, and stopped occasionally to take pictures. Our last stop was the Eluanbi Lighthouse, and we had a swell time walking along the "Seaside Path." When it got to be too late, we quickly headed back, so we wouldn't have to bike in the dark. The group couldn't wait to eat night market food again, so we immediately put our bikes in the garage and indulged. We felt we deserved it, especially after our 16 mile bike ride.

The first beach we stopped at. I was excited to see this big rock.

Except for a little bit of wind, the weather was really nice while we were there.

My big rock!

It only cost us 30 cents to get into the park. We loved everything about this place.

The view of the beach from inside the park.

Because of time constraints, we didn't go into the lighthouse, but it was still pretty to see!

The "Seaside Path" that did eventually lead us to the seaside.

We were told that this was the most southeastern tip of Taiwan.

There was a movie in Taiwan called Pier 7 that became relatively well-known. A scene was apparently filmed near here. Maybe. Maybe not?
